School Uniform

Students that arrive at the Academy without the correct uniform will be sent home to change into the correct uniform.
 
Students are allowed to wear one pair of plain stud earrings.  No other facial piercings are permitted.

Uniform List

  • Burgundy Blazer with Academy Badge
  • Grey V-neck Academy Jumper (optional)
  • Academy Tie in correct Year group colour *
  • Charcoal grey or black school trousers/skirt
  • White shirt

Students must wear:

  • Formal black shoes or ankle boots (Without a heel or fashionable accessories/studs)
  • Plain black socks or tights, no over the knee socks
  • Plain dark outdoor coat

PE Kit

Listed below is the expected PE kit for all students at the Academy:

  • St Mark’s logo black polo shirt
  • Plain black shorts
  • St Mark’s logo tracksuit bottoms/track top
  • White sports socks
  • Black football socks
  • Sports Trainers
  • Hairband (Students with longer hair)
  • Gum shield (necessary for Hockey and Rugby)
  • Shin pads (necessary for Hockey)

Please note that under no circumstances will the following be appropriate for PE lessons at the academy:

  • Hoodies
  • Lycra or skin tight leggings/shorts
  • School shoes
  • Any shorts/bottoms that are not black or have large logos or stripes

There is an expectation that all students bring the correct PE kit to all PE lessons without fail. If a student is injured or unwell they are required to bring a note and their kit. They will be taking on a different role within the lesson so that they avoid any further injury. They will still be expected to change into their kit and will be involved in the lesson in an alternative capacity to ensure that they continue to make progress.

Mobile Phones, MP3 Players, Smart Watches and Tablets

Whilst the Academy accepts that mobile phones and other electronic devices are now part of everyday life, we strongly discourage students from bringing them to school.

The Academy has banned electronic devices (including mobile phones) as they disrupt learning, hamper student progress and can cause conflict.
