Sixth Form
From September 2007 St Mark’s Academy will offer post-16
provision in conjunction with local colleges such as Merton College
and the London Borough of Merton’s Education Department. The
sixth form (Years 12 and 13) will adopt a flexible approach to the
curriculum so that students can choose learning pathways from a range
of vocational and academic courses.
The Academy plans to provide A-Levels, AS-Levels, Applied A-Levels,
and BTEC and GNVQ courses.
Students will be supported and encouraged to develop increasing
responsibility for study and the skills needed for higher education
or work. Sixth form students will have their own common room and
study area equipped with ICT resources.
