Ssh – It’s the SHS!

During the first term at St Mark’s Church of England Academy many Year 7’s have given up their lunch times every Tuesday to participate in the SHS (Secret History Society). During this time the members have done many exciting activities.

They have helped out during open evening, made medieval hats and will soon be performing a play for all St Mark’s Church of England Academy staff about the wives of Henry VIII. They are also working on a project to inform other students about the historical sites in the Mitcham area. They have also been helped and supervised by three wonderful Year 10 students, Faith Chigondo, Olivia Brown and Chloe Woodhouse.

It has been an enjoyable term and I am looking forward to spending the rest of the school year working on activities with the SHS.
