St Mark's Academy Choir
Singing fever hit St Mark’s when it was announced that a
new choir was about to be auditioned. Swarms of students filled
the corridors to sing their way into a place in the new group. The
auditions were hugely successful, with boys and girls alike both
singing in groups and those who were brave enough dared to sing on
their own! I was amazed and excited at some of the young talent that
we have here at the school and after many hours and a long selection
process we had our choir!
Thirty-five pupils make up our current group with over twenty-five
on the waiting list. We were showcased at the Christmas Concert with
a great variety of music and there is so much passion and commitment
from the group.
Congratulations to all the children who were chosen to be a part
of this special group and also to everyone who tried out.
