The theme for the enterprise week was “inspiring creativity and innovation”. Our enterprise programme aims at providing excellent financial education to help students to develop sound money management skills. We believe that equipping students with these vital skills will enable them to be more responsible with the use of money now and in the future. This can help them to avert getting into financial difficulties.
These workshops dubbed ‘Money Twist’ were run by My BnK, an educational charity supported by our staff. The workshops armed our young people with real life money management skills through a series of hands-on activities.
Paula Holguin (student) indicated that ‘the workshop was amazing and enjoyable. It taught me how to save and use money effectively, which will help me now and in my future life’. This view was not different from those expressed by all students randomly sampled including Mary De Lemos, Michelle Attafi, and Kapinga Mbombo (students) and others.
Colleagues who participated in the workshop were extremely happy with the quality of resources used, the level of engagement of our students in the workshop and the invaluable contribution the knowledge and skills acquired will make in the life of students.
