About us
St Mark’s Church of England Academy opened on 1 September
2006. As an Academy, St Mark’s is independently governed but
state-funded and free for students. It is subject, like other schools,
to regular inspections, but is managed by an ‘Academy Trust’ rather
than a local education authority. The Trust is a registered charity,
established by the sponsors.
Students receive an all-round education studying the full range of
subjects in a curriculum designed to make sure they get the best out
of their education and are fully prepared for adult life.
