St Mark’s Church of England Academy is a 11-18 Academy based in the South London borough of Merton. The Academy is rapidly improving as demonstrated by its rapid increase in GCSE headline figures. In the last two years they have increased from 23% A*-C including English and Maths to 55% in the 2011/12 Academic Year. Our recent Ofsted inspection in October 2012, described the Academy as a ‘Good’ school, and we are now moving into beginning our journey towards providing an Outstanding education for young people in the Mitcham area. Trainee: School Business Manager
Salary: (£18,191) 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum, 28 days annual leave allowance to be taken during school closure.
Required for September 2014, a dynamic and highly motivated graduate trainee School Business Manager to join the support team at St Mark’s. This is a two year traineeship designed to provide the skills and experience required for a career in school business management. Through your drive, dynamic approach and commitment, you will make an inspirational contribution to improving the life chances of the young people at St Mark’s while at the same time working towards recognised professional qualifications which will mean that you are well placed to apply for your first Business Manager post.

Weekend work will be required on an overtime basis or time in lieu to
be agreed by the Business Director.
Our Premises team needs a keen and reliable Assistant Caretaker to help provide a safe, clean and secure environment for all Academy users. You will work to a high standard and have the ability to use your own initiative and work as part of a team. Willingness to learn and good interpersonal skills are essential requirements for this role. Previous experience of working in a similar environment is an advantage but is not essential.
